Overview
I was an intern on the NGC Cloud Team at NVIDIA for 12 weeks during summer 2022. I worked on a team of designers and researchers and collaborated closely with developers and product managers.
What I worked on
I worked on developing a user interface for a resource manager app. I worked on executing solutions for 20+ product requirements to meet the needs of the user. I checked in early and often with my design mentor and the PM.
I was able to make complex design decisions and present them to my team during critiques as well as the product stakeholders.
What I learned
Share my Designs with Others
I learned to share my work often and to ask for feedback on each step of the design process. I took advantage of weekly meetings to show my designs and get critiques on my work. I took time to step back and think about how I can best present my work and used my team’s feedback to improve my designs.
Keep Iterating
I learned to keep trying new approaches when I was struggling to solve a problem. It was often that after making many iterations that I really understood why one solution worked the best.
Solve Complex Design Problems
I was tasked to interpret and develop solutions for complex product requirements. I learned how to read technical documents and really understand what they mean. I learned to be proactive and ask my team members for help or clarification if I was confused.
